We are continuously on the lookout for bright data engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, AI engineers, and data analysts. But this job description is for Data Engineer out there feeling the magic in them and ready to spread it 🪄

As a Data Engineer, your mission would typically include:

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines to help our clients turn raw data into actionable insights

• Support ingestion, transformation, and exposure of data across multiple sources and systems

• Develop and optimize data processing solutions using SQL, Python, and modern orchestration tools

• Work on a cloud-based data stack (storage, processing, and managed services)

• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions

• Ensure data quality, reliability, traceability, and monitoring across the platforms you work on

• Contribute to data modeling and architecture decisions to support scalable, maintainable systems

• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement of existing data workflows

• Document data flows, pipelines, and technical solutions to support knowledge-sharing across the team

• Stay curious about emerging data and AI technologies, and help bring new ideas and best practices into our projects

You’re a step closer to joining our team if you bring:

Background:

• A Master’s degree in computer science, data or a related technical field

• Open to 1–6 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related role, ideally in a consulting environment

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python

• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data platforms and orchestration tools (e.g. Databricks, Airflow, dbt, or Azure Data Factory)

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices

• Familiarity with distributed/big-data processing frameworks such as Spark is a plus

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra, Cosmos DB) is a plus

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star schema) is a plus

• Being able to use AI assistant coding tools is a plus

Soft Skills:

• Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

• A problem-solver with a “can-do” attitude and a hacker mentality.

• Highly curious and always eager to improve and learn.

• Strong ability to work independently and drive projects from intake to delivery.

• Languages: Native in Dutch/French and fluent in English.
